A Shihan in the Dojo! Dr. Robert Frager Now Highest Ranked Master Aikido Teacher

January 13, 2017

Congratulations are in order for Sofia Founder & President Emeritus Bob Frager, Ph.D who was recently informed by the World Headquarters of Aikido that he has been promoted as a Shihan, or master teacher of Aikido. Frager was a personal student of the Founder of Aikido and received his 7th degree black belt in Japan in 2014. Since then he has met many people, such as Steven Seagal in 1984, and traveled all over the world. Bob was most recently in Jakarta, Indonesia teaching Aikido.

We are lucky to have a Shihan in the Dojo at Sofia. Bob continues to teach Aikido at Sofia every Monday evening to all Sofia U students, faculty and staff from 6 – 7:30 pm.

Dr. Frager explains the value of aikido in the psychology curriculum.
